Every so often I see a particularly nice photographic scene and this is the one I like best for today. Some folks had wet a hook in the Carol Lake spillway near Huntingdon Tenn and seemed to be enjoying the spring day with moderate temperatures and overcast skies.
It turned out to be another long day for me as I forged ahead to find the best place to hide from tomorrow’s rain. Inspite of nearly 60 miles – my new all time record ever – I did find a good place for tonight and tomorrow. Forecasts are a little iffy about how much and when the rain will be, so I’ll just have to wait and see whether tomorrow is a day off or if I’ll be back on my bike again.
Long days have their own reward, however, because now I’m ahead of schedule and don’t have any worry as much about reaching my destination.
