Well, the cat’s outta the bag. Some people have asked: “Where are you going on the Grand Slam Plan! adventure?” Everybody knows, I’m headed for the Amazon Jungle!
Grand Slam Plan!
📽 Bike Tripping To Ditto Landing
Yesterday I went bike tripping to Ditto Landing. This is a fun and scenic bike ride from downtown Huntsville with almost half on the Aldridge Creek Greenway. What a beautiful day too!
📽 My Cool Roadster
I don’t know what it is, but when the time comes to drink beer, something magic happens. Even my cool roadster seems to work better.
Cleanup For Grand Slam Plan! Adventure
When I started looking around at all the old junk sitting around the house in boxes, not to mention all the empty boxes accumulated preparing for the adventure, I knew it was time for a house cleaning.
Mouse Meets Keyboard
I’ve been having a terrible time of it trying to move old backups to newer storage lately. Some of the data disc protocols don’t work on newer computers but thankfully I kept the old Sony knowing it might come in handy – it worked!
📽 Bike Rideabout Equipment Check
I’ve got a lot of irons in the fire these days and one thing I needed to do was test my camera with holder on a bike rideabout. I already knew I was gonna get some camera shake but you don’t know how to make adjustments until you test it out.
My My My Boogie Shoes
I am lovin’ my new boogie shoes! They’re made of “Gortex.” I don’t know what that is but it sounds like something Al Gore might have invented. They are really good for walking around in too. I can walk on smooth concrete or rocky pavers either one just as good as the other – and I can dance around in the moonlight iffen I want.
Walking in the Snow
I went out for a walkabout during the recent snowy weather here and found the ducks flying around and having fun. Damn ducks are funny like that. It’s like… they’re mocking me or something.
Depot Snow
During the recent snowy weather here the roads iced over with an inch of gropple. Ain’t too many vehicles getting around town on this day. The trains, however, were running like always. Don’t really matter too much anyway because there aren’t any passenger trains running through Huntsville.
